Stephenson Syndopour Face and Body Soap Base

Looking for a multipurpose base to expand your bath and body line? Stephenson Syndopour Face and Body Base is a unique syndet base that can be used to create a range of gentle, pH-balanced products. From moisturizing shaving and body or face soaps to exfoliating soaps, this gentle, high-lathering formula is perfect for any occasion.

This foundation, with a delicate pH, is dermatologically tested for sensitive skin and scalp and uses a gentle surfactant for cleansing.

Note: Unlike melt-and-pour soap bases, this base has a soft consistency. It will harden during the 24-hour curing process. The longer this base cures, the harder the finished soap will be.

Some suggestions:

Maximum fragrance recommendation: 2%
Maximum oil/butter recommendation: 1% Adding oils/butters will decrease foaming
Heat to 185ºF (85°C) using a double boiler for greater temperature control
For the additives and fragrance to bind properly to the syndet base, a temperature of 85°C+ (185ºF+) must be reached.
The melt color of this product is translucent, but will return to a matte white finish after curing. Fragrance oils, essential oils, and dyes may affect the final color.
We recommend using a single-cavity mold for this product. If you choose a loaf pan, we recommend using wire cutters.
